We like to do things differently which includes having our own private factory. This ensures our designs are created with the most meticulous attention to detail.
Penelope’s refusal to compromise on quality led her to set up Osier Belle’s manufacturing hub where the highest design standards are always met. Like nothing else on the market, this ensures the Osier Belle range is as luxurious as it is enduring.
Initially, Penelope considered using other furniture producers but she did not agree with how many of them treated their staff or the compromises they made on quality, materials and finish.
Located in Cirebon, West Java, the Osier Belle family factory is equipped with the best machinery and tools, and guarantees the business retains full control of the manufacturing process, quality control and creativity.
“Our company is a caring and inspirational home where we provide rewarding careers for the local people we employ,” explains Penelope.

Unlike the industry standard, Osier Belle’s furniture is not designed using computers or manufactured by machines. Each new design is envisioned and taken to the factory as a hand-drawn idea.
“Every feature – whether it’s the curve of an arm or the shape of a cushion – takes time and careful consideration, and once we’re happy, we create our design template with our bare hands.”
