Osier Belle outdoor furniture is made with PET, environmentally friendly synthetic Rehau and Viro wickers. This material is high quality and comes from two of the most reputable suppliers in the world. The wicker we use is made for extreme endurance and has been tried and tested to withstand the harsh Australian climate. With traditional rattan outdoor furniture, organic materials were used such as banana leaves. These look great but don’t last permanently outdoors due to absorbing water and breaking down quickly. That’s why we use a synthetic material instead. It won’t absorb moisture and is less prone to any cracking or splitting and is guaranteed to outlast its generous 5-year warranty.
All of our outdoor furniture, including the Revé Outdoor Daybed, is designed to be outdoors all year round. Our Sunbrella and Agora fabrics are 100% solution dyed acrylic which means they are very durable as well as being water and fade-resistant. Osier Belle does offer SHIELD which is an added 100% waterproofing protection for your fabrics. Our furniture has been designed to be low maintenance and easy to clean. Our furniture covers are easy to remove with smooth tracking, high-quality YKK zippers. All cushion covers are machine washable, so you can easily keep them fresh by placing them in a regular wash cycle, just avoid putting them in the dryer or ironing. Covers can also be spot-cleaned with water or fabric cleaner. Wicker is easy to wash with a hose down or hot soapy water and a rinse. You can also use a bristle brush to agitate out any stubborn stains or leaf litter. You can also hose down your teak furniture, and to keep pieces in the showroom-looking condition, we recommend re-oiling every so often to replenish.
Our furniture is hand-designed in Australia by the owner and founder Penelope Camplisson. All pieces, such as the hanging cocoon, are made by hand at our own factory in Indonesia. This is where we source our A6-grade teak for our furniture, as it has the highest oil content and quality of anywhere worldwide. The Osier Belle craftspeople weave, weld and build all the outdoor furniture pieces with care, attention and great skill. Owning our own factory means we can ensure safe and ethical manufacturing and working conditions as well as uphold a high standard and quality control.
