Concrete is highly durable and ideal for outdoor use. However, it's porous by nature. At Osier Belle, we reinforce our concrete furniture with glass fibre for added strength and apply a protective sealant layer to resist scratches, marks, and stains. We advise common sense and to be mindful of the surface; avoid leaving rusty items on it, and promptly wipe up spills. While concrete is robust, substances like red wine can seep through the sealant over time. Unlike other Osier Belle items, if you use a bench cushion on your concrete dining bench, we reccomend periodically removing it, to allow both the cushion and the bench top to dry.
As a stanard our bench seats are 45cm high and can have an 8cm seat cushion added. However, as we custom make all our furntiure we can customize dimensions to suit and have the dining benches made to any height.
We have a range of Sunbrella, Agora and Regency fabrics which make up or twenty base fabrics. Any of these can be used for a bench cushion as well as another approximately 500 swatches of designer fabrics which have been craeted specifcally for outdoors and come in a range or textures, styles and colours.
Yes you can certainly wash Osier Belle’s outdoor furniture cushions. Our products are intentionally crafted to be user-friendly when it comes to cleaning and require minimal maintenance. However, it's natural for items left outside throughout the year to require a periodic refresh.
We recommend doing this with warm water and a cloth. You can use warm soapy water but avoid any harsh cleaners or chemicals on your outdoor concrete bench.
