All of our outdoor furniture, including the Tressé Long Outdoor Coffee Table Ottoman, is designed to be outdoors all year round. Our Sunbrella and Agora fabrics are 100% solution dyed acrylic which means they are very durable as well as being water and fade-resistant. Osier Belle does offer SHIELD which is an added 100% waterproofing protection for your fabrics. You can see which fabrics are available with this waterproof protection under the materials tab on our website or in the showroom. Our furniture has been designed to be low maintenance and easy to clean. Our furniture covers are easy to remove with smooth tracking, high-quality YKK zippers. All cushion covers are machine washable, so you can easily keep them fresh by placing them in a regular wash cycle, just avoid putting them in the dryer or ironing. Covers can also be spot-cleaned with water or fabric cleaner. Wicker is easy to wash with a hose down or hot soapy water and a rinse. You can also use a bristle brush to agitate out any stubborn stains or leaf litter. You can also hose down your teak furniture, and to keep pieces in the showroom-looking condition, we recommend re-oiling every so often to replenish.
Our furniture is hand-designed in Australia by the owner and founder Penelope Camplisson. All pieces, such as the hanging cocoon, are made by hand at our own factory in Indonesia. This is where we source our A6-grade teak for our furniture, as it has the highest oil content and quality of anywhere worldwide. The Osier Belle craftspeople weave, weld and build all the outdoor furniture pieces with care, attention and great skill. Owning our own factory means we can ensure safe and ethical manufacturing and working conditions as well as uphold a high standard and quality control.
Not all outdoor furniture is environmentally friendly. At Osier Belle we endeavour to source materials, create and sell our furniture to the best ethical and environmental standards possible. All our teak is ethically sourced and certified. Our wickers are PET environmentally friendly and our fabrics are long enduring so they won’t need to be constantly replaced.
At Osier Belle our luxury outdoor wicker furniture is made with a PET environmentally friendly synthetic wicker which has been tried and tested to last outdoors. This wicker will stand the test of time against the sun and not fade easily, if at all. We have had clients with our wicker furniture for over 10 years with pieces still looking in showroom condition. You can give your wicker some TLC with hot soapy water or just a hose down every so often to clean out dirt or debris such as leaf litter and droppings. This will help further ensure the longevity of the material.
